Dear VIQ,
Welcome to the first edition of the monthly newsletter, what's the quack? If you've already received a mail (it was less pretty) then you were one of the early ones! For you others I'll let you in on a little secret, there's a gallery on the website that's for VIQ eyes only. Click the flower on the quack + dirk homepage or follow this link to the gallery. If for some chance this mail wasn't what you were expecting I'm very sorry, please use the unsubscribe link below.
Grand Opening
The shop is having its grand opening on Thursday 12th of March (this day week!), I'd be delighted if you could make it along. For the opening we're having a Tea and Crumpet soiree so expect some jolly good fun. I will anyway so don't worry. For the opening I'm getting in some new stock from London and working on some of my own very special pieces so if you've already been in to the shop, you'll still be gob-smacked. Bring your friends, lovers and pets!
My favourite piece
Anne Bullitt was the daughter of William C. Bullitt – America’s first Ambassador to the Soviet Union. She was renowned for her elegance and style. Having worked as a model for many of the top fashion houses in New York in the 50s and 60s she amassed an enormous collection of clothes and accessories. I had the pleasure of acquiring some pieces from her collection. My favourite being a 3 piece Suit by Jeanne Lanvin. The fabric is a silk and linen mix and feels absolutely fabulous! I'm selling it for €120 and I'll be sad to see it go!
